Produced only in France from 1800 to the 1890s, authentic opaline glass was inspired by the Venetial milk glass of the 16th century. Opaline glass was crafted entirely by hand, including the painted decoration as seen in these fascinating and precise globe shades. To find a pair of items in such beautiful condition is truly outstanding.
