The beautiful pistols each have 9-inch octagonal Damascus steel barrels, each bearing dovetailed front sights and Liege proof marks. Gold-inlaid “1” and “2” numbering on the breech plugs and standing breeches ensure the pair remains matched, while screw-adjustable notch rear sights offer precision. Their casehardened locks display the gold-inlaid inscription "J.B. HANQUET A LIEGE," complemented by silver accents and scroll engravings. Blued trigger guards and pommels with detailed carving add to their aesthetic allure. The walnut stocks feature crisply carved scrolls and fluted wrists, underscoring the impeccable craftsmanship.
Jean-Baptiste Hanquet, active in Liege from 1796 to 1872, was a distinguished figure in the city’s renowned firearms industry.
